Week 10 of Take A Stitch Tuesday. This week: Running Stitch.
The most basic stitch of all, but I liked the many different effects that are possible with it.

Recently I bought a couple of embroidery hoops. I put some felt in the smallest one and started to doodle, practising my TAST stitches. I finished it a couple of week ago and didn't know what to do with it. But the other day I made a second one (this time practising mainly lazy daisies) and decided to stitch the 2 together and make them into a bag charm (or key chain). So now it's proudly dangling from my bag :)

Een tijdje geleden kocht ik een paar borduurhoepels (?) om te oefenen. Ik deed een stukje vilt in de kleinste en begon maar wat te borduren. Toen het af was wist ik eigenlijk niet zo goed wat ermee te doen, dus bleef het liggen. Maar vorige week maakte ik er nog 1 (deze keer met bijna alleen maar 'lazy daisies'), naaide ze aan elkaar en maakte er een tashanger (of sleutelhanger) van. En nu hangt ie lekker aan mijn eigen tas :)

I made another felt cuff: this time it's in shades of brown and features the woodgrain on the trunk of a tree. Again strongly inspired by TAST, it's mostly made of chain stitches.
For sale in my shop ;)

Ik heb weer een vilten 'cuff ' gemaakt: deze keer in bruintinten met de het patroon van de schors op een boomstam. Weer geinspireerd door TAST is ie bijna alleen gemaakt van kettingsteken.

Week 9 of Take A Stitch Tuesday. This week: Couching.
I didn't really like this stitch (or stitches, as I tried several) but I did like the effect it gave, especially on the doodle bit.

Ik vond dit geen fijne steek (of steken, want ik heb er een aantal uitgeprobeerd) maar het effect dat het geeft vind ik wel leuk, vooral bij de doodle (de krulletjes).
